I don’t know about you, but May always feels like that weird month where I promise myself I’ll go for more walks and finally start that herb garden, only to end up glued to my TV. There’s just too much good stuff coming out! If your “to-watch” list is already a mile long, I’m about to make it worse. Here are the 5 shows/movies to watch on Netflix this May that I am actually losing sleep over.

1. Citadel Season 2 (May 6)

First up, we have the return of Citadel on May 6th. I’ll be honest, the first season was a bit of a wild ride, but I’m a total sucker for spy stories where nobody trusts anyone. I need to see if Mason and Nadia can actually pull it together this time. The action is usually so over-the-top that I find myself holding my breath. It’s the perfect show for when you want to turn your brain off and just watch things blow up in a very expensive way.

2. Mortal Kombat II (May 8)

Okay, gamers, mark May 8th on your calendars. I remember playing the original game until my thumbs were sore, so seeing the sequel to the reboot is a big deal for me. I’m mostly just here to see how they handle Johnny Cage this time around. If the fight scenes are even half as brutal as the last movie, I’ll be happy. It’s going to be loud, it’s going to be messy, and I am absolutely ordering pizza for this one.

3. Poker Face Season 2 (May 8)

Also dropping on May 8th is Poker Face. I am obsessed with Natasha Lyonne’s voice. It’s like a warm hug if the hug was wearing a leather jacket and smelled like cigarettes. Her character, Charlie, has this weird “human lie detector” thing that makes every episode feel like a mini-movie. It’s smart, it’s funny, and it doesn’t take itself too seriously. I’ve missed her squinting at people and saying, “Bullshit,” more than I care to admit.

4. The Mandalorian and Grogu (May 22)

On May 22nd, we finally get more of the duo that basically saved my sanity a few years ago. I know, I know, everyone is obsessed with “Baby Yoda,” but can you blame us? Seeing Grogu and Mando back together feels right. I’m curious to see how the story moves forward now that things are getting a bit more serious in their corner of the galaxy. My inner child is already screaming with excitement.

5. A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 (May 27)

To wrap up the month on May 27th, we’ve got the second season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. If you like true crime or just stories about teenagers who are way better at solving mysteries than the actual police, this is for you. Pip is such a great character because she’s stubborn and slightly chaotic. I’m ready to see what kind of trouble she gets into this time.

Final Thoughts

So, there you have it. My social life is basically over for the next thirty days. Between the fighting, the space travel, and the murder mysteries, I don’t think I’ll be seeing the sun much. But hey, that’s what weekends are for, right? Grab your favorite snacks, find the most comfortable spot on your couch, and get ready. These are definitely the 5 shows/movies to watch on Netflix this May if you want to stay entertained all month long. Happy watching!
