New Amazon tablet sees a giant increase in performance

The Fire Amazon tablet – Kindle Fire HD, was released back in 2012. Originally Amazon created these as a E-reader which offered easy ways to buy and read books online. Since then we have seen Amazon switch to multi-function tablets that can do a variety of tasks.

Every model has seem to seen a huge increase from that last. In 2021 Amazon released the Fire HD 10 and Fire HD 10 plus. This model saw an increase in screen size – 10.1″, Ram and a increase in processing power. These changes have made the Fire tablet a better option for a Computer / Tablet hybrid. Now with the announcement of the Fire Max 11, we can confirm Amazon is looking to jump into the luxury tablet market. The positive? they have still kept the pricing extremely affordable.

Fire Max 11 Specifications

The Fire Max 11 tablet comes equipped with a number of upgrades from previous models. Both in performance and quality users can expect an overall better experience. Below is the major changes the Fire Max 11 comes with.

  • Screen size: 11″ Full HD screen – The previous largest size was 10.1″
  • Resolution: 2000 x 12000 with 2.4 million pixels – 400,000 pixel increase from the last model
  • CPU: Octa-core processor 2x Arm Cortex – Amazon has stated with will have a 50% performance boost
  • Ram: 4GB of Ram – Unlike the Fire HD 10, there is no Plus model. Only one Ram option.
  • Storage: 64 or 128 GB – Upgraded from 32 or 64 GB in the Fire HD 10
  • Battery Life: Up to 14 hours – Increased from the 12 hours
  • Camera: 8MP front and back facing camera with 1080p HD

On top of these major upgrades, the Fire Max 11 also comes with a detachable keyboard, Cover, Stylus and screen protector.

What options are there for the Fire Max 11

Currently Amazon has a variety of different options for the Fire Max 11. Like previous models, this device also comes with a lock screen ad option. Every time you open your tablet you will be greeted by an advertisement. This will save you a little bit of money when purchasing the new devices.

Worth Buying the Fire Max 11?

Whichever model you choose, it is clear Amazon is trying to compete to get more of the student / business market. These tablets have seen huge improvements and continue to try to become a laptop / tablet hybrid.
