Disney+ raised prices again in September 2026, and its lineup now leans heavily on bundles with Hulu, Max, and ESPN. Here’s what it actually costs and what you get at each tier.
What Is Disney+?
Disney+ is the on-demand home for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic content, plus a general-entertainment hub in some markets. There’s no live TV or channel lineup – it’s a pure content library, built around franchise films and series.
Disney+ Plans & Pricing
Disney has pushed hard into bundling in 2026 – buying Disney+ on its own now costs more than most of the multi-service bundles:
Disney+: Channels & Content
Disney+’s catalog is built entirely around franchises: Marvel and Star Wars series and films, Pixar and Disney animation, Nat Geo documentaries, and (via the general-entertainment hub in supported markets) a wider mix of adult-skewing shows and movies. It’s a smaller library than Netflix’s, but a very high hit rate if you’re already a fan of those franchises.

Where Is Disney+ Available?
Disney+ is available in 60+ countries and territories across North America, Latin America, Europe, and parts of Asia-Pacific – a solid footprint, but nowhere near Netflix’s 190+ countries.
How to Watch Disney+ Outside the United States
Disney+’s catalog varies a lot by region because of licensing – a title available in the U.S. library might be missing entirely if you’re traveling somewhere Disney+ hasn’t licensed it. A VPN lets you reconnect to your home country’s library while abroad.
- Sign up for IPVanish (link includes our exclusive discount)
- Download and install the IPVanish app on your phone, streaming device, or router
- Open the app and connect to a VPN server in the United States
- Open or sign up for Disney+ and start streaming as if you were in the United States
Is Disney+ Worth It?
If you’re already invested in Marvel, Star Wars, or Pixar, Disney+ is close to essential – just buy it bundled with Hulu (and Max, if you want HBO too) rather than standalone, since the bundles are consistently cheaper per service. On its own, the recent price hikes make it a harder sell.

Yes. The Disney+/Hulu bundle starts at $12.99/mo with ads – barely more than Disney+ alone at $12.49/mo – so bundling is almost always the better deal.
Not on its own. Live sports come through the ESPN Unlimited bundle, which combines Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN’s full channel lineup.
