Amazon Household lets two adults link their Amazon accounts to share eligible digital content — including some Prime Video titles, Kindle books, and apps — without sharing login credentials or payment information.

What Amazon Household Shares

Household sharing covers eligible purchased content and some subscription benefits between two linked adult accounts, plus the ability to add children’s profiles with their own restrictions. It’s different from Fire TV Profiles, which just personalizes recommendations for people using the same single account on one device.

How to Set It Up

  1. On a phone or computer, go to amazon.com and sign into Your Account, then Amazon Household.
  2. Select Add Adult and follow the prompts to invite a family member — they’ll need to accept from their own Amazon account.
  3. Add any children’s profiles you want included, which can be given their own age-appropriate restrictions.
  4. Once set up, shared content and children’s profiles become available on any Firestick where the linked account signs in.

Things to Know

Only two adults can be linked in a Household at a time, and not every piece of purchased content is eligible for sharing — that depends on the publisher or studio’s own licensing rules. Streaming subscription apps like Netflix or Disney+ aren’t shared through Amazon Household at all, since those run on their own separate account systems.
