How do Netflix secret codes actually work?
Netflix tags every title with dozens of micro-genres internally, but only shows a handful as browsable tabs. Every micro-genre still has its own web address in the form netflix.com/browse/genre/CODE — these codes just unlock the ones Netflix doesn’t put in its menus.
Do I need an account or app to use them?
No extra app or login beyond your normal Netflix account. Codes work directly through your browser or by editing the URL on the Netflix app in a browser.
Why does a category sometimes look empty?
Netflix’s catalog changes by region and over time, so a code that was full of titles last year might be thin today, or unavailable in your country. If one comes up empty, try a related code from the same category.
Can I browse subgenres of subgenres?
