It looks like Google may be entering 2024 with a splash. With rumours swirling at the end of 2023 that Google TV may finally update their Chromecast tv which came out in 2020. There is substantial evidence, that Google will be releasing this new Firestick competitor shortly.

New Models Showing up In Google Home

Currently, the Google Chromecast 4K and Chromecast HD are labeled with codes YTV and YTB within the Google home app. As early as December 2023, there were reports that new code designations are showing up. These codes are labeled as YTC and YTD and are now currently popping up inside that app.

New Chromecast remote leaked

In a show of the brand new Android TV 14 Interface. It seems that a brand new Google Chromecast TV remote has been leaked as well. This new redesign seems to have some new functions and a new button layout. This is further proof we are looking at a brand new 2024 Google Chromecast TV.

User can expect two separate models, a 4K and a new HD model. Presumably, we also may see a new remote coming with these devices, giving a better experience for all users.
